12 April 2024

What is this group?

A peer support group accessible whilst waiting for support.

Who is it for?

The Waiting Room is open for young people who are currently waiting for support with 42nd Street. It may be suitable if you have experience of:

  • Difficulties forming or maintaining relationships.
  • Difficulties around regulation of emotions.
  • Thoughts to end life or self harm.
  • Feelings of emptiness, loneliness, or disconnect from the world around.
  • Problems around impulsive behaviour.

When does it take place?

Fridays 1 – 3pm at the 42nd Street building for 16 weeks.

What does the group do?

The group offers a therapeutic space to discuss real difficulties in your life and build connections with others where you can feel heard.

It's based in 'relational peer-to-peer therapy', meaning that you'll have the opportunity to connect with others in similar (but different situations) in a space that's facilitated by our Lived-Experience Practitioners.
