The Online Drop-In session is a chance to have a text webchat with one of our workers, any Wednesday afternoon between 5:30pm and 7:30pm if you would like to.
Head here from 3:30pm onwards and click the “register for drop in” button to let us know you’d like to talk, one of our team will message you around 5:30pm to let you know when they will be available to chat with you.
This could be suitable if you -
- Would like to speak with someone without waiting for a weekly appointment
- Are waiting for support with 42nd Street to begin
- Have something on your mind you’d like to talk about
- Need some help with learning how to cope
Anyone can use our drop-in, whether you’re new to our service, on a waiting list, accessing support or not. Whatever the situation, our aim is to try and help.
If you haven’t signed up for our service yet you’ll need to do that first.
After you register, the Drop-In worker will leave you a message, you can find that in your inbox and you will use that thread to chat too. You can talk about anything at all that would feel useful to you – for example something in the future that’s worrying you, something that’s on your mind now, you could even talk about what 42nd Street can offer.
Drop-In is not a suitable space to talk if you feel like you could be reaching crisis point or if you are finding it difficult to keep yourself safe, if you are feeling like that we would encourage to check here for organisations that can offer more immediate, crisis support
How do I access this?
To talk to someone at Drop-In, head over to our webchat platform.
From 3:30pm each Wednesday you can click on the Register for Drop-In button in the purple Drop-In box, fill in a short form then look out for a message from a practitioner in your inbox around 5:30pm.
Once you’re signed up you can speak with our welcome team too, in case you have any difficulties accessing the drop-in (you can also e-mail onlineteam@42ndstreet.org.uk)
